Hi Joe,

I know the Google hasn't been issuing new API keys for a long time, and will be discontinuing its support in August of this year. But since SEO Studios still has this feature, is there some way I can get one from someone or some place?

I guess the more important question would be, how is running a ranking report using the API better than just selecting Google as the search engine?

Hi George,

The Google SOAP API is no longer active. The new alternative by Google is the AJAX based API, but with this method we would have only received a maximum of 64 results, so we decided not to include it in our SEO Studio ranking and links plus tools.

In the future Google may release a more generous API, and we'll implement it in SEO Studio. For now using the regular SERP checking in Google is the only way to get ranking results in SEO Studio.
